How ARC Raiders blueprints work
- Find a blueprint as loot during a raid. It takes up a slot like any other item.
- Extract with it. If you die first, it drops with the rest of your gear — another Raider can take it.
- Learn it back in Speranza. The blueprint is consumed and the recipe is unlocked.
- Craft the item at the matching workshop bench (for example, weapons need the right Gunsmith level) using materials you’ve collected.
Learned blueprints stay unlocked until you choose to depart on an Expedition, which resets your progress (including blueprints) in exchange for permanent rewards. See our beginner guide for how Expeditions work.
Where to find blueprints
- 📦 Containers and caches. Blueprints are rare random loot. Caches and higher-tier containers have better odds.
- 🔥 High-risk areas. Keyed rooms, contested buildings and hard maps like Riven Tides roll better loot. See where they are in our ARC Raiders map guide.
- 🌩️ Map conditions and events. Some conditions boost loot value. Event containers can hold specific blueprints — for example, the Assessor containers during Close Scrutiny are linked to the Dolabra blueprint.
- 📜 Quests. Some quests reward blueprints, so complete quests as you raid.
- 🛒 Traders. As you progress, traders in Speranza offer blueprints in their stock. Check them often.
- ☠️ Other Raiders. Players who die drop what they carried — including unlearned blueprints.

The best blueprints to chase first
| Blueprint | Type | Why it’s worth it |
|---|---|---|
| Extended Medium Mag III | Attachment | Bigger mags for the most common rifles. |
| Vertical Grip III | Attachment | Better recoil control on medium and heavy weapons. |
| Bettina | Weapon | Stays strong against armored ARC. |
| Hullcracker | Weapon | Great for cracking heavy ARC armor. |
| Dolabra and Canto | Weapons | Popular new additions in the Flashpoint update. |
| Defibrillator | Tactical | Revive downed squadmates — huge in team play. |
| Vita Spray | Medical | Reliable healing you can craft any time. |
Tips for farming blueprints
- 🔑 Use your keys. Keyed rooms are some of the best-looted spots. Keys are single-use, so save them for when you can loot safely.
- 🎒 Bring a light loadout. Less to lose means you can take more risks in high-value areas.
- 👂 Move quietly. Breaching and sprinting make noise. Walk in contested zones.
- ⏱️ Loot early, extract early. The longer you stay, the more likely you meet other squads.
- 🤝 Play with a squad. Quest progress is shared, and teammates can cover you while you open containers.
What happens to blueprints in an Expedition?
When you depart on an Expedition, learned blueprints are reset along with your level, stash and workshop. In return you get permanent rewards like extra stash space, bonus skill points and cosmetics. If you love your blueprint collection, you can skip an Expedition — departing is optional.
Blueprints and your workshop benches
A learned blueprint only helps if you can craft it. Each recipe belongs to a workshop bench in Speranza — for example weapons at the Gunsmith, healing items at the Medical Lab and grenades and mines at the Explosives Station — and many need a higher bench level. That’s why upgrading benches is just as important as finding blueprints. Each bench upgrade asks for specific items, so check the requirements before you recycle anything.
| You found… | Do this |
|---|---|
| A weapon blueprint | Learn it, then upgrade the Gunsmith if the level is too low. |
| An attachment blueprint | Learn it — attachments make every weapon better. |
| A grenade or mine blueprint | Learn it if you like playing aggressively or defending objectives. |
| A duplicate blueprint | Sell it or bring it into a raid and drop it for a squadmate. |
How rare are blueprints?
Blueprints are among the rarest drops in ARC Raiders. Many players go several raids without finding one, then find two in a single run. Don’t chase them blindly: complete quests, gather upgrade materials and loot high-value rooms on the way, and the blueprints will come. Map conditions that raise loot value, like the Electromagnetic Storm, are good moments to search harder — but they also make extraction more dangerous because fewer exits are open.
Blueprints in a squad
Playing with friends makes blueprint hunting safer. One player can loot while others watch the doors, and if someone finds a blueprint they already know, they can drop it for a teammate during the raid. Agree before the raid who gets which blueprint so there are no arguments at the extraction point.
Quick checklist after finding a blueprint: stop looting risky areas, heal up, move quietly to the nearest safe extraction and avoid other squads. Once you are back in Speranza, learn the blueprint straight away so it can never be lost. Then check which bench level and materials the recipe needs, and add those materials to your shopping list for the next few raids. Doing this every time means your collection grows steadily instead of disappearing in one unlucky fight.
Crafting materials you’ll need
Most blueprints need common materials like Metal Parts, Rubber Parts, Wires and Electrical Components, plus gun parts for weapons. Recycle low-value items to get materials, and be careful not to recycle items you need for bench upgrades. Upgrading your workshop benches unlocks higher-tier crafting, so spend early raids gathering upgrade materials.
