When did GTA 6 Trailer 3 come out?

GTA 6 Trailer 3 went live on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at around 2 PM UK time — exactly five weeks before launch. Unlike Trailer 2, there was no countdown or teaser beforehand. Fans woke up, refreshed their feeds and it was simply there.

The timing makes sense. Pre-orders have been open since June, pre-loading starts on November 12 and the game launches on November 19. A launch trailer about a month before release is a classic Rockstar move to build one final wave of excitement.

What does GTA 6 Trailer 3 show?

Rockstar’s description sets the tone in one line: “Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them.” The trailer brings back the two leads, Jason and Lucia, and returns to the sun-soaked streets of Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.

The official story set-up, which Rockstar has repeated since Trailer 2, is that an easy score goes wrong and the pair end up “on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America”, caught in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Leonida. Trailer 3 builds on that premise rather than revealing new plot twists — Rockstar is clearly keeping the story secret for launch day.

The GTA 6 Trailer 3 song: “Flower in a Hurricane”

Every GTA 6 trailer has been built around one song, and Trailer 3 is no exception. This time it is a brand-new track: “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.

It is a big deal for two reasons:

• 🎼 Justice wrote the GTA 6 score. The French electronic duo composed the game’s original music, so the trailer doubles as a first proper taste of how GTA 6 will sound.
• 💿 There is a GTA 6 album. The single will appear on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, which can be pre-saved on major streaming services and pre-ordered on vinyl and CD.

About Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album

A full album around a GTA game is new territory for the series. Captured on a standard PS5 — why that matters

At the end of the trailer, Rockstar notes that it was captured in-game on PlayStation 5 — the regular console, not the PS5 Pro. That is encouraging: what you see is not a high-end PC render or a special pre-made video, but footage from the same hardware millions of people already own.

Why did Rockstar shadow-drop Trailer 3?

Rockstar hasn’t said, so this is our take. A surprise release gets everyone talking at the same moment, and it avoids weeks of rumours about a trailer date. It also fits Rockstar’s style in the final stretch: with pre-orders already open and launch close, there is no need to build hype for the trailer itself — the game sells the trailer, not the other way round.

Trailer 3 vs Trailer 2: what changed

Trailer 2 was the big story trailer: it introduced the supporting cast, showed off locations across Leonida and explained why Jason and Lucia end up on the run. Trailer 3 is shorter and has a different job. At about 90 seconds, it is a launch trailer — a final reminder of the mood, the music and the date, rather than a pile of new information.

The biggest difference is the music. Trailers 1 and 2 used classic songs from the 1980s and earlier. Trailer 3 uses a brand-new track made for the game, which tells you Rockstar is now selling GTA 6’s own sound, not just nostalgia.

Record-breaking views

GTA 6 trailers are some of the most-watched videos ever posted online. Trailer 1 pulled in roughly 90 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours. Rockstar then said Trailer 2 reached 475 million views across platforms in 24 hours, calling it the biggest video launch of all time. Expect Trailer 3’s numbers to be huge too, especially with launch only weeks away.

Is this the last GTA 6 trailer?

Probably. Rockstar named it the launch trailer, and with release on November 19 there is little time left for another full trailer. Rockstar has not confirmed that no more videos are coming, though — short clips, TV spots or a gameplay video before launch would not be a surprise.

Watch out for fake “Trailer 4” and leak videos

Every time Rockstar posts a trailer, fake follow-ups appear within hours: “Trailer 4 leaked”, “gameplay trailer extended cut” or “GTA 6 PC trailer”. If it is not on Rockstar’s official channels, assume it is fake. Some of these videos link to “free GTA 6 download” or “early access” pages that try to steal accounts — never enter your PlayStation, Xbox or Rockstar login on a site you reached from a random video.
